Children Traveling

Children under the age of 2

One child, under the age of 2 can sit on your lap instead of using a seat, and in this case, they travel for free. Infants in a car seat occupying a seat will need to pay applicable fare.

Children under the age of 2 are not allowed to travel unaccompanied.

If you purchase a seat for your child, our buses come equipped with seat belts that have both lap and shoulder harnesses. You can use these with your own child seat, if it can be attached using a seat belt, has been approved for use in a motor vehicle, and is used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Children ages 2-11 are not allowed to travel unaccompanied. Children under the age of 12 years cannot travel alone. They must travel with someone aged 16 or older.

Children aged 12-15

Children ages 12-15 are allowed to travel unaccompanied but with certain restrictions and pay full fare.

Unaccompanied Child Form

We’ve created the Unaccompanied Child Form as part of our commitment to keep children safe while traveling. The form is only available at stations and must be signed at the counter by the child’s parent or guardian when they buy the ticket.

Here’s an overview of the information you’ll need to provide in the Unaccompanied Child Form:
1. The name, contact details and signature of the person who is giving permission for the child to travel (the child’s parent or legal guardian).
2. The start and end destination of the child’s trip.
3. The name and contact details of the person picking the child up at the destination.

Buying tickets for Unaccompanied Children

Tickets for unaccompanied children are not sold online.
1. You can only buy tickets for unaccompanied children in person at the departing station—you cannot purchase online.
2. We’ll also require you to fill out an Unaccompanied Child Form when you buy the ticket. These forms can only be filled out at a station so that we can verify your ID and get consent for the child to travel and be picked up by a designated person at the other end. These precautions help ensure the safety of all children traveling with us.

Travelers aged 16 and up

Travelers aged 16 years of age and older pay the full fare and are allowed to travel unaccompanied with no restrictions.
